The Whitebeam is a tree of understated elegance, never more so than when in bloom. There’s a fine example of this beautiful tree in the car park of The Bear Inn.
AUGUST
Buddleia is well-known for attracting butterflies, but it’s also a favourite of the Hummingbird Hawk Moth. They can often be seen in late afternoon feeding on the nectar of a buddleia in Parsons Lane.

There are plenty of Horse Chestnut trees in Bisley, and they look great in the Spring, but come autumn it’s worth making your way up to the far corner of the King George V Field, where you’ll find a couple of Sweet Chestnut trees.
