The Whitebeam is a tree of understated elegance, never more so than when blossoming in May. There’s a fine example of this beautiful tree in the car park of The Bear Inn.
Buddleia is well-known for attracting butterflies, but it’s also a favourite of the Hummingbird Hawk Moth. They can often be seen in a late August afternoon feeding on the nectar of a buddleia in Parsons Lane.
